IndonesianCloud is brought to you by TRG Investama, the owners of IndonesianTower. IndonesianTower has been in the service industry for many years, providing colocation space on cellular transmission towers to telecommunication companies across Indonesia. TRG realised that Cloud Computing held a similar role to that of the transmission towers, and so IndonesianCloud was born. Given that IndonesianCloud is a new business, we have had the luxury of hiring the best staff we could find, both locally and internationally; this is across management, sales, marketing, and technical… we hired staff to deliver the best cloud into this market.
Our (Hi-)Tech Investment
Our platform is based on proven enterprise grade technology from VMware, Cisco, Dell, NetApp, and Checkpoint Security. That means you know what technologies, what versions, and what vendors stand behind each component. That also means IndonesianCloud can stand behind the scalability, availability, and performance of each service deployed from our Cloud environment. The platform is designed to scale, and to scale transparently; no matter how big a resource demand you place upon us, we will have the capacity to respond; either for your short term needs, or longer term growth; we are flexible, because that is what it means to be a cloud service provider. We have spent well over $1M USD commissioning our platform; no expense has been spared, no corners have been cut, and no compromises have been made. Our platform would rival that of almost every Indonesian enterprise customer, and in fact, many of our financial institutes! We have spent this money for good reason… so you do not have to!
We elected to host our platform, not in our own datacentre, but in the facility of IDC Indonesia based in Jakarta. This decision was strategically made, and was to ensure we were physically located in the same building as the internet peering exchange; why? Because when it comes to cloud computing, network performance matters. Being directly connected to the internet peering exchange (OpenIXP) means we have near-on unlimited domestic bandwidth at the lowest possible latency; this will provide our clients with the assurance that we have performance as a key focus for your success. When designing our platform, we commissioned the proven and trusted experts in this field; CloudFX (based in Singapore). We could have obtained "free" advice from our vendors, or like many other "commodity" cloud providers, we could have designed it ourselves; but we wanted to offer the most reliable, available, and trusted platform to this market, so this meant getting advice from trusted experts. CloudFX not only designed the platform, but they also built it, tested it, and certified it fit for use. This gives us the confidence to offer you robust service levels backed with firm commitments of availability and performance.
We are so confident in our platform, that we offer services with no on-going contractual commitment… if you are unhappy with our service, you are not forced to stay. We do however offer discounts for customers willing to contract to a minimum fixed term, and as such, we offer a promise around service levels and availability to ensure that at all times, the customer experience is "second to none". For any new customer that requests service; the provisioned resources (and contract) can be terminated at any time and for any reason for up to 30 days from contract commencement. We offer this as a "guarantee" that the platform will operate as expected.
For the platform itself, we offer availability on the infrastructure and facilities of 99.9% during business hours (7am-7pm, Monday – Friday) and 99.5% availability over the course of a month. Should we breach these SLAs for whatever reason, we will credit back one day of hosting value (calculated at the yearly value of your hosting contract divided by 365) for every hour we are unable to offer you service. Should we be unable to offer you service for more than 24 hours, we will release you from any contractual obligations without penalty should you wish to take your custom elsewhere. For the network communications, we are limited to offering availability of 99.5% due to the nature of the public internet and its external dependencies; any outage to service caused by internet communications and outside the direct control of IndonesianCloud is excluded from our service rebate plan.
